Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

A home that works for you.

Finding the right home is about more than a property.

Your home needs to work for your individual needs, lifestyle, preferences and the way you want to live.

At Jump-In, we take the time to understand the person first. We work collaboratively with participants, families, Support Coordinators and relevant housing and support partners to help ensure the home and support arrangements are appropriate for the individual.

Finding the right fit

Understanding You
We start by getting to know you, your needs, preferences, routines, goals and what's important to you in a home.

Finding the Right Environment
We work with you and the relevant people involved to consider whether the proposed home is suitable for your individual needs and circumstances.

Working Together
Finding the right home can involve several people and organisations. We work collaboratively with you, your family or representatives, Support Coordinator and relevant housing and disability support providers.

Accessibility & Support Needs
We consider how the proposed living environment works alongside your assessed needs, accessibility requirements and day-to-day support arrangements.

Compatibility
Where a home may be shared, compatibility matters. We believe the people living together, their routines and their individual support needs should be carefully considered.

Planning the Transition
Moving home is a big step. Where Jump-In is involved in your supports, we work with you and the relevant people to help make the transition as considered and person-centred as possible.

It starts with the person.

We don't believe choosing a home should start with trying to fit someone into an available property.

It should start by asking:

Where do you want to live?
What is important to you?
What does your home need to provide?
What support do you need to live the life you want?

From there, we can work together with the relevant people to explore an appropriate arrangement.
